The Template ID in Dashpivot Web is a unique identifier shown in form headers and helps with document control and traceability. Sometimes you may want to update the template ID to reflect a new numbering system or naming convention used by your organisation. This article shows how to change the template ID using the template editor in Dashpivot Web.

Prerequisites
Before you begin make sure you have the following:
Plan: Standard or above
Permission: Permission to edit templates in the relevant folder (Home or Team Folder)
Skills Required: Dashpivot template management basics
Device Type: Computer (web browser)
Subscription: Dashpivot Web access
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to the folder where the template was originally created (for example, the Home Folder or a Team Folder).
Click on Template Library/Templates.
Select the checkbox next to the template whose ID you want to update.
Click Edit Template.
Double-click on the Template ID located in the top left corner of the screen, to the right of the template name — this will enable text entry so you can update it.
Type the new Template ID and then click outside the text field when done.
Click Save in the top right corner of the screen to complete the changes.
