How to deploy a template on Dashpivot Web

Learn how to deploy a template on Dashpivot Web so your team can use it across projects and folders

Written by Adriana De Souza

Deploying a template in Dashpivot Web lets you allocate it to multiple folders (projects or teams) in your workspace. Once deployed, all updates or edits you make to the template will automatically appear in the folders where it’s deployed — so you don’t need to redeploy each time you change the template. You can deploy from the Home Folder (for company-wide access) or from within a specific project folder (team-level deployment) depending on your permissions.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Standard or above

  • Permission: Org Controller (for Home Folder deployment) or Project/Team Controller (for Team Folder deployment)

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot template management basics

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web access

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Home Folder Deployment (Org Controllers only):

    • Go to the Home Folder, then click Template Library.

    • Select the checkboxes of the template(s) you want to deploy.

    • Click Deploy.

      • Note: If only one template is selected, click Manage Deployment.

    • Click on the folder(s) where you’d like to allocate the template(s).

    • Click Apply Changes.

  2. Team Library Deployment (Project/Team Controllers):

    • Go into the required team folder.

    • Click Templates in the top right corner (if you don’t see this button, you may not have the necessary permission).

    • Click the Add Template button.

    • Select Deploy from Workspace library.

    • Select the templates you want and click Add to folder.
