Dashpivot supports file attachments across forms, lists, and registers on both web and mobile. To ensure attachments upload, display, and export reliably, keep files within the recommended size limits outlined below.
đ Note: File sizes are checked when a file is picked or added â files above the limit are rejected immediately before upload begins. This applies across all platforms.

Why file size matters for exports
Large file attachments â particularly PDFs over 50MB â can cause PDF exports to time out. To avoid export issues, keep attachments within the recommended limits above.
If a form with a large attachment fails to export as a PDF, you can:
Export the form without the attachment.
Merge the exported PDF and the attachment manually using a tool like Preview (Mac) or Adobe Acrobat.
Notes
File size limits on mobile are enforced at upload â files above the limit will not upload.
For best results with PDF exports, keep PDF and document attachments under 50MB. Photo and video limits vary by platform â see the tables above.
List attachment file sizes are checked at upload. For form attachments, there is no upload restriction â however, files over 50MB may cause export issues.
FAQs
Why was my photo or video rejected when I tried to add it?
Files are checked as soon as you pick or add them â if the file exceeds the size limit for your platform, itâs rejected immediately before any upload begins. Check the limits table above for your platform and file type, then compress or trim the file before trying again.
Whatâs the maximum video size I can upload?
It depends on your platform â 200MB per video on Dashpivot Web and Dashpivot Mobile, and 100MB per video on Sitemate Mobile. Videos recorded in-app are automatically capped (around 2 minutes on Dashpivot Mobile, 5 minutes on Sitemate Mobile) so theyâll rarely hit the limit.
How many photos or videos can I add to a form?
On Dashpivot Mobile and Sitemate Mobile, you can add up to 50 photos or videos per upload batch, and keep adding more after that â thereâs no per-field cap. On Dashpivot Web, thereâs no count limit on photo fields.
Why did my PDF export fail or time out?
Large attachments â particularly PDFs or documents over 50MB â can cause PDF exports to time out. To fix it, export the form without the attachment and merge them manually using a tool like Preview (Mac) or Adobe Acrobat.
Does the 50MB limit apply to photos and videos too?
No â the 50MB recommendation applies to PDFs and document attachments only, where it affects PDF export reliability. Photo and video limits are higher and vary by platform â see the tables above.
