This article explains why you may be seeing red error messages or popups related to your firewall, and what you can do to solve it.
What’s happening
You may experience one or more of the following:
Dashpivot does not load or remains on a blank screen
Login fails or times out
Forms do not sync
Files fail to upload or download
Certain features are unavailable
Error messages related to connection or network issues
These issues commonly occur on restricted corporate or site-based networks.
Network connectivity issues
One possible reason for the error message is network connectivity issues. This means that your internet connection may be experiencing disruptions, or have a slow/weak signal, hindering your access to Dashpivot.
To resolve this: try restarting your internet router or moving closer to your Wi-Fi source.
Firewall restrictions
Another possible cause for the error message is firewall restrictions. Firewalls are security systems that monitor and control incoming and outgoing network traffic.
When the firewall settings are too strict, they may block Dashpivot, Flowsite and other services that are core parts of the system without meaning to.
Misconfigured firewall rules might also mistakenly identify Dashpivot as a potential security threat and block access.
Some companies have rules about which websites employees can visit, and Dashpivot might not be on that list. Even though it's a helpful tool, these strict rules might block access.
To resolve this: contact your IT department to adjust the firewall settings and whitelist the following domains:
dashpivot.com, sitemate.com, flowsite.com, sitemateglobal.com
Note: sitemateglobal.com is used for backend services and to route traffic into different regions geographically. It is not directly accessible by users via the browser - only through our products.
