Dashpivot has 3 types of Text fields available you can add and edit when building templates. Each field type supports different levels of input and formatting.

Single Line Text

  • Allows input of text restricted to a single line, typically used for short responses e.g Name, Occupation, Site Address. Also supports hyperlinks.

Multi Line Text

  • Enables input of text across multiple lines, suitable for longer responses or paragraphs, e.g Description of Incident. Allows formatting for end-users, similarly to what's currently available for Prefilled Text fields in the Template Editor, and hyperlinks.

Prefilled Text

  • This field displays text, images, or links that are set by the template creator (e.g. Company Address, Job Steps). End users cannot edit the content in the form unless you edit in the template builder.

    Formatting Options

Dashpivot currently uses a single font style, but all Prefilled Text fields can include formatting such as:

    • Headings (H1–H4)

    • Bold, Italic, Underline, Overline

    • Subscript and Superscript

    • Text colour and highlight

    • Lists (bulleted and numbered)

    • Indentation

    • Hyperlinks

    • Images

By default, the field label is set to 'Text'. However you can customise it by clicking directly into the field.

There is also the flexibility to switch between various Text field types. Simply hover over the field icon to reveal the available options and make your selection.
