Environmental Condition Monitoring in Dashpivot: Forms, Registers & Analytics

Track environmental condition monitoring on site with Dashpivot. Capture readings on mobile, auto-generate registers, and analyse data in dashboards.

Written by Sam

Introduction

Dashpivot makes it easy to document, track, and analyse environmental monitoring activities — including vibration, noise, dust, and water quality — across your projects. Record readings on site using the mobile app, view data automatically in a register, and display findings in dashboards and graphs, all within one system.

How it works

Key features

  • Access and fill out monitoring forms on site using the Dashpivot mobile app (also available for tablets)

  • Attach photos to the form while on site using the app

  • Markup PDF attachments in the mobile app (draw and annotate)

  • Automatically generate a register of all your checklists, with ability to quickly filter and find checklist records

  • Easily see how many checklists were filled out over a specified time period eg. last month

  • Track readings over time using Dashpivot's analytics

Best Practices

  • Include a photo field so that photos and videos can be captured as the form is filled out on site

  • Use list fields where applicable (e.g. area or zone) to make it easy to find records later via the register view, and filter by list items on any analytics charts

  • In the template settings, sort forms by the date on the form (not the creation date)

  • In the template settings, set the form thumbnail to display the zone or area of the inspection if working across a large site

  • Arrange your readings and results in a table column so that the analytics section can plot those values over time

Getting Started

You can access a range of free environmental monitoring templates from Dashpivot's Template Library. Go to Templates > Add Template > Browse free templates.

You can also generate a custom environmental monitoring template using Storm AI Templates. Go to Templates > Add Template > Build with Storm, then describe the template you need in the prompt field — for example:

"Environmental condition monitoring form for tracking noise, vibration, and dust readings on a construction site, including photo fields, area/zone list fields, and sorted by form date."

Select Generate, then click Build. You can also use the voice recorder to dictate your prompt instead of typing.
