How to Change a Document Type on Dashpivot Web

You can update the document type of a template to better reflect what the template is used for, such as ITPs, SWMS, or other document types. This helps users quickly understand the purpose of each template in Dashpivot. This article explains how to change the document type on Dashpivot Web.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Permissions: Permission to edit templates in the folder where the template is stored

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer or tablet

  • Subscription: Access to Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the folder where the template is stored (Home or Team folder).

  2. Click Templates.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the template you want to update.

  4. Click Edit Template.

  5. In the template editor, click the Settings tab.

  6. Locate Document Type.

  7. Open the Document Type dropdown.

  8. Select a document type from the list (for example, Inspection Test Plan, Method Statement, or other available options).

  9. To use a custom document type, select Custom and enter your preferred name.

  10. Click Save to apply the changes.

Notes

  • Changing the document type only affects how the template is labelled.

  • Existing forms created from the template are not changed.

  • You must have permission to edit the template to change the document type.
