Photo numbering in the Photo Appendix tab on Dashpivot Web allows you to automatically add numbers to photos when forms are exported as PDF files. When enabled, each photo is assigned a number that appears in both the form body and the photo appendix, making it easier to cross-reference photos and navigate between sections. This feature is useful for teams that rely on clear photo documentation in reports.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Create a new template or edit an existing one.
Click the Photo Appendix tab.
Locate the Photo Numbering dropdown and select Sequential.
See the preview panel update to show numbered photos below the photo placeholder.
Click Save in the template editor for the settings to take effect.
Export forms to PDF to see numbers applied to photos in the form body and their corresponding location in the photo appendix.
Note: This setting affects all forms regardless of the template version they were created with.
Photo numbering options
When photo numbering is turned on, each photo in the form is assigned a unique sequential number that appears as a badge in the form body and in the photo appendix at the back of the PDF. You have the following options:
Off (Default) – No numbers are displayed on photos in the form or appendix.
Sequential – Photos are numbered in the order they appear across the form, starting from 1. Numbers appear in both the form body and the corresponding page in the photo appendix.
How duplicate photos are handled
If the same photo appears more than once in a form, it will only appear once in the photo appendix. All instances of the photo in the form body will share the same number, so cross-referencing remains consistent and the appendix stays clean.
