Header and footer settings in Dashpivot Web allow you to set up the information shown at the top and bottom of your forms. These settings are configured per template and control which details appear in web views and PDF exports, helping ensure consistent information is displayed across all forms created from the template.

Prerequisites

Before you begin make sure you have the following:

  • Plan: Active Dashpivot Web plan

  • Permission: Access rights to edit templates

  • Skills Required: Dashpivot

  • Device Type: Computer

  • Subscription: Dashpivot Web

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Select the template you want to update and choose Edit Template.

  2. Open the Header/Footer Editor tab in the template builder.

  3. Drag fields from the sidebar into the header or footer area.

  4. Remove an item by selecting the ร— icon next to it.

  5. Change the order of items by dragging them within the header or footer area.

  6. Turn specific details on or off using the available toggles.

  7. Check the layout in the Web Preview tab.

  8. Save the template.

Header and footer elements available

  • Logo - this will be the logo registered on your workspace

  • Filepath - this provides the form location: Workspace, Project, Team

  • Template ID - this can be edited in the Template Settings

  • Template Version

  • Form Version

  • PDF Creation Date and Time

  • PDF Page Number

  • PDF Export Disclaimer

  • Prefilled text - this allows you a text input, up to 24 characters including spaces

  • Prefilled image - ideal for joint venture projects to display a second logo

Note: Changes applied to the header and footer of your templates will affect all forms, regardless of the template version they were created with. If you make a change to the header and footer contents, this will also affect any historical records already created.
